They Will Be Very Difficult Shoes to Fill

Often times when a person leaves a position either through retirement or leaving on their own, that is a refrain that you often hear. Or you might also hear that it will be very difficult to replace that person.

If the believer was living in the flesh, they could say that as well but serving the Sovereign LORD, we should not think this way. We believe that He will be faithful and provide new hands and hearts to fill ministry needs.

That being said, I would like to say a special thanks to two special women who were part of Milwaukee Seed Sowers from its very inception. Sondra and Adrienne.

Both ladies were faithful in their seed sowing and their imagination for new ideas of sharing the gospel, be it going to the basketball courts in some very dangerous neighborhoods with water and tracts to share with the players or weekly down at the lakefront at the Kite Store, sharing the gospel with all who would share in the conversation.

I was often reminded of the women who would minister to Jesus and disciples and who would be the first to share the gospel of the resurrection of Jesus.

Matthew 28: 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

Individually, Sondra would minister in spite of some very difficult and limiting physical ailments. It was a joy to minister with her down at UWM at many of our DVD giveaways and watching her share valued truths with the young students on campus.

Adrienne would always be willing to go on any fishing adventure with her sista’s (as she liked to say), be it outreaches at UWM, parades or weekly down at the lakefront.

Both of these women had a gentle way of sharing the gospel without limiting the truth. And I do say, they will be missed and hard to replace.

Matthew 25: 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
